Welcome to beautiful Smith Mountain Lake! You're in for a surprise if you haven't been here before. With 500 miles of delightful shoreline, and even more miles of surrounding mountain skyline, you'll soon be falling in love with the jewel of the Blue Ridge Mountains! It's gorgeous!

We have friendly people, low taxes, stunning scenery, perfect seasons and a pastoral small town setting. Yet it's mere minutes to all your day to day necessities and a short drive to most anywhere on the entire East Coast.

As for the personality of the place, the overall feel is always casual, which makes sense when you consider the multitude of vacation and retirement homes here. Even work attire is usually blue jeans. In short, Smith Mountain Lake is a fun place where everybody still says hello to each other. Come say hello yourself. You'll love this place!
